Our application process is simple, efficient, and only takes a few minutes to complete. Before you start, all you need is a bank account or credit card, and you must meet our basic criteria:
- 18+ yrs, Australian citizen/permanent resident with a driver’s licence
- Employed/self-employed 30+ hrs/wk or Aged/Veteran pensioner
From there you can apply directly through the humm mobile app, or through reception at your dental clinic.
What’s the maximum amount I can be approved for?
You can be approved for payment plans with values up to $12,000. When you apply with National Dental Plan, we will assess your application and then advise you of any limits to your plan on a case-by-case basis.
To get a humm account you need to:
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be permanently employed working at least 25 hours per week or receiving an aged or veterans pension;
- Have never declared bankruptcy or that your about to become or are insolvent.

With National Dental Plan, you pay no interest ever, and you only need to make a small deposit on the day. For first time users, you will need to pay an establishment fee of $70 to set up your account, but this can also be spread over the term of your payment plan! Afterwards, the repeat purchase fee will only be $22.
The only recurring cost you will experience is an $8 monthly fee for the duration of your plan, but keep in mind that you can make additional repayments at anytime or pay your plan out early with absolutely no penalties.

Payments are made fortnightly and are set up to be debited directly from your nominated bank account or credit card.
